Director, Standards and Certification, First Nations Financial Management Board
Scott Munro is Director, Standards and Certification of the First Nations Financial Management Board. In this role Scott has been responsible for the development and improvement of standards and the certification of the financial performance and financial management systems of First Nations across Canada. This has provided First Nations with access to long-term affordable capital under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act.
Scott is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 15 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and corporate governance, in both the public and private sectors.
Scott is a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager. He has also been an active member in the community providing support to the Parent Advisory Council at the school his two children attend. Scott also helps organize the annual Strachan Hartley Legacy Run that provides opportunities to youth through education and sport.
