Principal, Public Sector Accounting Board
Martha Jones Denning is a Principal with the Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) of Canada.
Martha has been developing public sector financial reporting standards for over 28 years, leading projects to create many standards in the Public Sector Accounting Handbook. Examples include: Loans Receivable, Consolidations, Long Term Debt, Accounting Changes, Subsequent Events, Temporary and Portfolio Investments, Investments in Government Business Enterprises, Senior Government Reporting Model and Tangible Capital Assets, the existing Conceptual Framework, Tax Revenue and Government Transfers.
Martha acts as a mentor on various PSAB projects, in particular PSAB’s concepts underlying financial performance project.
Martha is the Secretary of PSAB’s Public Sector Accounting Discussion Group, which discusses in a public forum application issues with public sector accounting standards, emerging issues and issues on which PSAB requests advice.
